Description

These Super Soft Loaded Easter Egg Bars are a quick dessert packed with buttery cookie bar flavor, pastel chocolate eggs, and creamy white chocolate chips. Perfect for Easter dessert tables, spring baking, party treats, and easy recipe ideas, these soft dessert bars are festive, simple, and full of fun sweet crunch in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups chocolate Easter eggs

1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.

2. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and creamy.

3. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract until fully combined.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a thick dough forms.

6. Fold in most of the chocolate Easter eggs and white chocolate chips, saving a small handful of Easter eggs for the top.

7. Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan and scatter the reserved Easter eggs over the top.

8. Bake for 24 to 28 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the center is just set.

9. Let the bars cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

Do not overbake the bars if you want them extra soft in the center.

Press a few extra candy eggs on top before baking for a prettier Easter look.

Let the bars cool fully before slicing so the pieces hold their shape cleanly.
