Description

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup peanut butter chips


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

4. Stir in the vanilla extract.

5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until combined.

7. Fold in the chocolate chips and peanut butter chips.

8. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart.

9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are still soft.

10. Let the cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.


Notes

Do not overbake the cookies if you want soft and chewy centers.

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 20 to 30 minutes before baking.

Sprinkle a tiny bit of flaky salt on top right after baking for extra flavor contrast.
