Ingredients

1 and 1/3 cups sugar

2/3 cup evaporated milk

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 (6 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips

16 large marshmallows

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup chopped pecans


Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt.
  3. Stir constantly and bring to a rolling boil.
  4. Add chocolate chips and marshmallows, stirring until completely melted and smooth.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and chopped pecans.
  6. Pour mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Let the fudge cool at room temperature until firm, or refrigerate to speed up setting.
  8. Cut into squares and serve.
