Ingredients

8 oz spaghetti

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 teaspoon brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt (for boiling pasta)


Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden, about 1–2 minutes.
  3. Lower heat and stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar. Add red pepper flakes if using.
  4. Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet. Toss well to coat in the sauce. Use reserved pasta water to loosen if needed.
  5. Turn off heat, sprinkle parsley over the noodles, and toss again.
  6. Serve hot with grated Parmesan on top.
