8 oz spaghetti
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt (for boiling pasta)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden, about 1–2 minutes.
- Lower heat and stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar. Add red pepper flakes if using.
- Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet. Toss well to coat in the sauce. Use reserved pasta water to loosen if needed.
- Turn off heat, sprinkle parsley over the noodles, and toss again.
- Serve hot with grated Parmesan on top.
