Description

These Easy Crockpot Meatballs are the perfect easy dinner, party appetizer, and family-friendly comfort food recipe all in one. Tender homemade meatballs slow cook in a rich sweet and savory barbecue jelly sauce until they are juicy, flavorful, and coated in every bite. Whether you need quick dinner ideas, easy recipe inspiration, game day food ideas, or a simple crockpot meal for busy nights, this recipe is always a reliable favorite.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound ground beef

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 large egg

1/4 cup milk

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup barbecue sauce

3/4 cup grape jelly

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix just until combined.

2. Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 to 1 1/2 inches in size.

3. In a separate bowl, stir together the barbecue sauce, grape jelly, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.

4. Place the meatballs in the crockpot and pour the sauce over them.

5. Gently toss to coat the meatballs in the sauce.

6. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the meatballs are fully cooked.

7. Stir gently before serving and spoon extra sauce over the top.

Notes

Do not overmix the meatball mixture or the texture can turn dense.

For extra flavor, brown the meatballs in a skillet before adding them to the crockpot.

These meatballs freeze well, so make a double batch for an easy future meal.
