Ingredients

Scale

1 lb lump crab meat (picked over for shells)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning

1/4 tsp paprika

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

1/2 cup green onions or chives, chopped

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for topping)

2 tbsp butter, melted (for breadcrumbs)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a medium baking dish.
  2. Sauté onions and garlic in a bit of butter until soft and fragrant. Set aside.
  3. Mix base: In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayo, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and spices until smooth.
  4. Add cheeses: Stir in cheddar, Parmesan, cooked onions, and garlic.
  5. Fold in crab and half the green onions gently to avoid breaking the meat.
  6. Transfer to baking dish, spreading mixture evenly.
  7. Top with breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until bubbling and golden. Broil briefly for extra crispness.
  9. Garnish with remaining green onions or chives. Serve warm.
