Description

Candy Cane Fudge Snowballs are a quick holiday dessert that looks fancy but is incredibly easy to make. These creamy no bake treats are coated in white chocolate and finished with crushed peppermint for a festive bite that is perfect for Christmas dessert boards, easy recipe collections, holiday food ideas, party treats, and homemade candy gifts.

Ingredients

Scale

3 cups white chocolate chips

14 ounces sweetened condensed milk

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

2 cups powdered sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers

1/3 cup crushed candy canes

Instructions

1. Line a tray or small baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt 3 cups white chocolate chips with the sweetened condensed milk and butter, stirring until smooth.

3. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract, peppermint extract, and salt.

4. Add the powdered sugar gradually and stir until a thick fudge mixture forms.

5. Cover and chill the mixture for 1 to 2 hours, until firm enough to scoop.

6. Scoop and roll the mixture into 1 inch balls, then place them on the prepared tray.

7. Chill the rolled balls for 20 to 30 minutes.

8. Melt the white chocolate melting wafers until smooth.

9. Dip each fudge ball into the melted white chocolate and place it back on the tray.

10. Sprinkle crushed candy canes over the tops before the coating sets.

11. Chill or let sit until the coating is firm, then serve.

Notes

Use peppermint extract carefully because a little can quickly become too strong.

Chill the centers well before dipping so they keep their shape.

Sprinkle the crushed candy canes on immediately after dipping so they stick to the coating.
