Ingredients
2 cups white chocolate, divided
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1 tablespoon orange zest
1 teaspoon orange extract
1 cup powdered sugar
Optional: extra orange zest and powdered sugar for garnish
Instructions
1. Melt 1 cup of white chocolate with butter in a heatproof bowl using a microwave or double boiler. Stir until smooth.
2. Remove from heat and mix in sweetened condensed milk, orange zest, and orange extract.
3. Slowly stir in powdered sugar until a thick, dough-like consistency forms.
4. Chill mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
5. Roll chilled mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined tray. Freeze for 15 minutes.
6. Melt remaining white chocolate in a separate bowl.
7. Dip each truffle into the melted white chocolate, allow excess to drip off, and return to parchment.
8. Garnish immediately with powdered sugar and orange zest.
9. Let set at room temperature or in the fridge until firm.
Notes
Use high-quality white chocolate with cocoa butter for the best flavor and smooth coating.
Don’t overheat the chocolate—melt gently to prevent seizing.
For stronger orange flavor, add a drop or two more extract, but avoid overpowering the white chocolate.
