Description
A creamy, gooey wheel of brie wrapped in sweet roasted figs, buttery pecans, and golden honey. This elegant appetizer is as easy as it is impressive—perfect for holiday spreads, date nights, or cozy gatherings.
Ingredients
1 wheel brie (8 oz), double or triple cream
4 to 5 fresh figs, halved or quartered
1/3 cup pecans, toasted
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (optional)
Crackers, crostini, or sliced baguette, for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a small baking dish or cast iron skillet with parchment paper.
2. Place the wheel of brie in the center of the dish.
3. Rinse and dry the figs. Cut them in halves or quarters and set aside.
4. Toast the pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes, stirring frequently until fragrant.
5. In a small bowl, combine the sliced figs, toasted pecans, honey, and rosemary (if using). Mix gently to coat.
6. Bake the brie for 12–15 minutes, until soft to the touch but not leaking.
7. Remove from oven and spoon the fig-pecan mixture over the top. Drizzle with more honey if desired.
8. Serve warm with crackers, crostini, or fruit slices.
Notes
Bring the brie to room temperature before baking for an even melt.
Be careful not to overbake or the cheese may burst.
Use a small cast iron skillet or shallow baking dish to contain the melt and toppings neatly.
