1 lb ground beef (80/20)

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

4 slices of white bread or sourdough

2 tbsp butter, softened


Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned. Add onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook until fragrant. Drain excess grease.
  2. Butter the Bread: Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Assemble: Place one bread slice, buttered side down, in a skillet. Layer cheese, ground beef, and more cheese. Top with second bread slice, buttered side up.
  4. Grill: Cook sandwich on medium heat for 2–3 minutes each side, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  5. Serve: Let it rest for a minute, slice in half, and serve hot.
