Description
Texas Trash Pie is a wildly indulgent, salty-sweet dessert packed with chocolate chips, toffee, pretzels, coconut, and pecans—bound together with sweetened condensed milk and baked into a golden deep-dish pie crust. It’s rich, gooey, and satisfyingly crunchy, perfect for potlucks or cozy nights in.
Ingredients
1 deep-dish pie crust
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup toffee bits
1/2 cup crushed pretzels
1/2 cup shredded sweetened coconut
1 cup chopped toasted pecans
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place pie crust on a baking sheet for stability.
2. In a large bowl, mix sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, toffee bits, crushed pretzels, shredded coconut, and chopped pecans.
3. Stir the mixture gently until fully combined and coated.
4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust and spread evenly.
5. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly on top.
6. Let cool completely on a wire rack. Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour before slicing.
Notes
For a crispier bottom crust, pre-bake your pie crust for 8–10 minutes before filling.
Let the pie chill fully before slicing for clean edges and best texture.
Toasting pecans before adding boosts their nutty flavor.
