Description
These Texas Roadhouse Grilled Shrimp are juicy, buttery, and perfectly seasoned with garlic, lemon, and a hint of spice. Whether grilled outdoors or on a stovetop pan, this copycat recipe delivers that steakhouse-quality flavor in every bite.
Ingredients
12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined with tails on
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Thaw shrimp if using frozen and pat dry with paper towels.
2. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
3. Add shrimp to the bowl and toss well to coat. Let marinate for 20–30 minutes.
4. Thread the shrimp onto skewers, leaving space between each one.
5. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
6. Grill shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side, until opaque and lightly charred.
7. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with parsley before serving.
Notes
Always pat shrimp dry before marinating to help them sear properly.
Use metal skewers or soak wooden skewers in water to prevent burning.
Don’t overcook—shrimp are done when opaque and slightly curled.
