Description

Flaky, golden puff pastry envelopes a rich cream cheese filling and sweet strawberry slices in these irresistible Strawberry Cheesecake Turnovers. This easy dessert is a perfect choice for quick breakfast ideas, sweet brunches, or fun food ideas when entertaining guests. It’s a no-fuss, crowd-pleasing, easy recipe you’ll come back to again and again.

Ingredients

Scale

1 package puff pastry sheets, thawed

1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for dusting)

2 tablespoons melted chocolate (for drizzle)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Unfold puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut each into 4 squares.

3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

4. Toss sliced strawberries with a little extra sugar to bring out juices.

5. Spoon cream cheese mixture onto the center of each square. Add sliced strawberries on top.

6. Fold pastry over into a triangle and press edges with a fork to seal.

7. Brush each turnover with beaten egg.

8. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until puffed and golden.

9. Let cool for a few minutes, then dust with powdered sugar and drizzle melted chocolate on top.

Notes

Do not overfill the turnovers or the filling may leak during baking.

Make sure your puff pastry is fully thawed but still cold for best flakiness.

Reheat leftovers in the oven—not microwave—for a crisp texture.
