These Slow Cooker Teriyaki Meatballs are the perfect balance of sweet and savory, coated in a rich teriyaki glaze. They make an effortless appetizer or hearty main dish served over rice. Toss everything in the slow cooker and let the flavor develop low and slow.
Ingredients
32 ounces frozen meatballs
1 cup teriyaki sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for slurry)
2 tablespoons water (optional, for slurry)
2 tablespoons green onions, chopped (for garnish)
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix together teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger until combined.
2. Add frozen meatballs to your slow cooker.
3. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and stir to coat evenly.
4. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for 2–3 hours.
5. To thicken the sauce, stir together cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Add to the slow cooker 30 minutes before the end of cooking and stir well.
6. Once meatballs are hot and glazed, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
7. Serve warm as an appetizer or over rice/noodles as a main dish.
Notes
For extra depth, enhance store-bought teriyaki sauce with pineapple juice or chili flakes.
Homemade meatballs can be used, just sear or bake them first to hold shape.
Don’t skip the garnish—it adds freshness and crunch to balance the sauce.
