Ingredients
1 pound sirloin steak tips
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
3 tablespoons butter (divided)
8 ounces penne pasta
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped parsley or chives (for garnish)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Pat steak tips dry. Season with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside at room temperature.
2. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak tips for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from heat and set aside.
3. Boil penne pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/4 cup pasta water.
4. In the same skillet, melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in garlic powder and paprika.
5. Add grated parmesan cheese. Stir until smooth and melted. If needed, thin with reserved pasta water.
6. Add cooked pasta and toss until evenly coated.
7. Serve pasta with steak tips on top. Garnish with parsley or chives.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate steak in Cajun seasoning and olive oil for 1 hour before cooking.
Use freshly grated parmesan — pre-shredded won’t melt as smoothly.
Reheat with a splash of cream or milk to bring the sauce back to life.
