Description
Santa Belly Brownies are festive, fudgy chocolate treats topped with a glossy red ganache and decorated to look like Santa’s iconic suit. With golden chocolate belt buckles and sweet button accents, they’re the ultimate holiday dessert for parties, gifts, or just spreading cheer. Easy to make and even easier to impress!
Ingredients
1 batch brownies, baked and cooled (9×13-inch pan)
2 cups red candy melts (or 2 cups white chocolate chips + red oil-based food coloring)
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup white chocolate chips or white M&Ms
12 mini chocolate squares
1/2 teaspoon edible gold luster dust or edible gold spray
1 teaspoon corn syrup or edible glue (optional, for sticking decorations)
Instructions
1. Prepare your brownie base from a boxed mix or homemade recipe. Bake in a 9×13-inch pan lined with parchment paper. Let cool completely.
2. Combine red candy melts and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth and glossy.
3. Spread the red ganache over the cooled brownies using an offset spatula. Let it set slightly in the fridge for about 10–15 minutes.
4. Once the topping has firmed a bit but is still soft, cut into even squares using a clean, sharp knife.
5. Brush mini chocolate squares with edible gold dust or spray. Place one buckle in the center of each brownie square.
6. Press 2–3 white chocolate chips or M&Ms above the buckle. Use corn syrup or edible glue if needed to hold them in place.
7. Refrigerate the decorated brownies for another 10 minutes to set everything before serving.
Notes
Let the brownies cool completely before adding the ganache to avoid melting.
Use parchment paper in the pan for easy brownie removal and clean cuts.
Oil-based food coloring is a must if using white chocolate—water-based will seize it.
