Description
Samoas Puppy Chow takes your favorite Girl Scout cookie flavors—caramel, coconut, and chocolate—and transforms them into an irresistible, crunchy, no-bake treat. Perfect for parties, movie nights, or gift bags, this snack mix is fast to make and dangerously delicious.
Ingredients
6 cups Rice Chex or Corn Chex cereal
1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
1⁄4 cup caramel sauce or melted caramels
1 cup toasted shredded coconut
3⁄4 cup powdered sugar
1⁄4 teaspoon sea salt (optional)
Instructions
1. Toast the shredded coconut in a dry skillet over medium heat, stirring constantly until golden brown and fragrant, about 3–5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and caramel sauce. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until melted and smooth (about 1–2 minutes).
3. Place cereal in a large mixing bowl. Pour the melted mixture over the cereal and gently stir until all pieces are coated.
4. Add the toasted coconut and powdered sugar to the bowl. Toss to coat evenly, making sure each piece is dusted.
5. Spread the mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cool for 15–20 minutes or refrigerate briefly to set.
6. Once fully cooled, store in an airtight container or serve immediately.
Notes
Make sure your coconut is completely cool before adding to the mix or it may melt the chocolate again.
If your mix turns out sticky, just add more powdered sugar and toss again to separate the pieces.
For an extra hit of flavor, lightly sprinkle flaky sea salt on top before serving.
