Description

Red Velvet Cake Balls are indulgent little bites made by combining crumbled red velvet cake with cream cheese, rolling the mixture into balls, and dipping them in creamy white chocolate. Topped with red sprinkles or a drizzle of red candy melts, they’re festive, flavorful, and perfect for gifting or entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale

1 box red velvet cake mix (or homemade red velvet cake)

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

12 oz white chocolate or almond bark, melted

Red sprinkles or sanding sugar (optional)

Red candy melts for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bake the Cake: Prepare the red velvet cake according to package or recipe instructions. Let it cool completely.
  2. Crumble the Cake: Use your hands or a food processor to turn the cake into fine crumbs.
  3. Mix with Cream Cheese: Add softened cream cheese to the crumbs and mix until a dough-like consistency forms.
  4. Form Balls: Scoop and roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. Chill for at least 1 hour or freeze for 20 minutes.
  5. Dip in Chocolate: Melt white chocolate or almond bark. Dip each chilled ball, letting excess drip off. Place on parchment paper.
  6. Decorate: Add sprinkles while wet. Once set, drizzle with red candy melts if desired.
