Ingredients
1 pound egg noodles
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
2. Add egg noodles and cook until al dente, about 6–8 minutes. Drain but do not rinse.
3. In the same pot or a large skillet, melt unsalted butter over medium-low heat.
4. Stir in salt, black pepper, and optional garlic powder to bloom the flavors.
5. Return the drained noodles to the pot and toss well to coat evenly in butter.
6. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Don’t skip salting the pasta water—it seasons the noodles from the inside out.
Use high-quality butter for the richest and smoothest flavor.
Toss gently after adding noodles to avoid breaking them and keep that soft, tender texture.
