This One-Pan Creamy Sweet and Spicy Cajun Chicken Pasta delivers bold Cajun flavors, tender seared chicken, and fettuccine coated in a silky sweet-heat cream sauce. It’s a quick, all-in-one skillet meal perfect for weeknights or impressing guests with minimal effort.
Ingredients
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon honey
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
8 ounces fettuccine pasta (uncooked)
1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning.
2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
3. Add the chicken breasts and sear each side until golden and fully cooked, about 4–5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
5. Pour in the chicken broth, stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, honey, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a gentle simmer.
6. Add uncooked fettuccine to the skillet. Stir frequently and cook for 12–14 minutes, or until pasta is tender. Add more broth if needed.
7. Slice the cooked chicken and return to the skillet, placing it over the finished pasta.
8. Sprinkle with red chili flakes (if using) and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Sear the chicken until the edges are golden for the best texture and flavor.
Add more broth as needed while cooking the pasta to prevent sticking or drying out.
If you’re sensitive to heat, reduce Cajun seasoning or skip the red chili flakes.
