Description

Monte Cristo Ham Sliders combine the sweet-and-savory charm of a Monte Cristo sandwich in a party-sized format. With layers of ham and Swiss between fluffy slider rolls, brushed with Dijon butter, baked to perfection, and finished with powdered sugar and jam, they’re bound to be a hit at brunches, parties, or cozy family meals.

Ingredients

Scale

12 slider rolls (Hawaiian rolls or brioche work best)

12 slices deli-style ham

6 slices Swiss cheese (or more to taste)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

Powdered sugar, for dusting

Raspberry preserves, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Slice slider rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half into the dish.
  3. Layer Swiss cheese, then ham, then more cheese on top. Cover with the top rolls.
  4. Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in Dijon mustard.
  5. Brush the Dijon butter over the tops of the rolls.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake an additional 5-7 minutes until golden.
  8. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar.
  9. Serve warm with raspberry preserves.
