Description
These Magical Reindeer Pancakes are a whimsical and festive holiday breakfast that kids and adults will both adore. Soft, fluffy pancakes are transformed into cheerful reindeer faces using banana slices for eyes, crispy bacon for antlers, and a raspberry nose. Perfect for Christmas morning or winter weekends, they’re as fun to make as they are to eat!
Ingredients
2 cups pancake batter
2 bananas, sliced into thick coins
8 raspberries
8 strips cooked bacon
Butter and syrup, to serve (optional)
Instructions
1. Mix your pancake batter according to your recipe or package instructions. Let it rest for a few minutes.
2. Preheat a griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat.
3. Pour batter onto the surface to form 4–5 inch round pancakes. Cook until bubbles form and edges are set, then flip and cook until golden.
4. Set pancakes aside and keep warm.
5. Cook bacon strips until crisp. Drain on paper towels and shape into “V” forms or gentle twists to resemble antlers.
6. Peel and slice bananas into thick rounds.
7. On a serving plate, place two pancakes side by side.
8. Insert two bacon strips at the top of each pancake for antlers.
9. Add two banana slices for eyes on each pancake. Optional: place a blueberry or chocolate chip in the center for pupils.
10. Place a raspberry below the eyes for the reindeer nose.
11. Serve warm with butter and syrup if desired.
Notes
Resting the pancake batter for a few minutes before cooking helps achieve a fluffier texture.
Bacon can be made ahead and stored in the fridge—just reheat in the oven to restore crispiness before assembling.
Let kids decorate their own reindeer faces for a fun family breakfast activity!
