Description
This Lipton Onion Soup Meatloaf is a cozy classic packed with savory onion flavor, thanks to the iconic soup mix. With a sweet ketchup glaze and perfectly tender texture, it’s a no-fuss recipe that delivers every time. Great for a weeknight dinner or meal-prep favorite!
Ingredients
2 pounds ground beef
1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
2 eggs
1/3 cup ketchup (plus 1/3 cup for glaze)
1/2 cup water
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, breadcrumbs, eggs, ketchup, and water. Mix gently until just combined.
3. Shape the meat into a loaf and place it into the prepared pan or onto the lined baking sheet.
4. Spread 1/3 cup of ketchup over the top as a glaze. Optional: mix in a bit of brown sugar or Worcestershire for added flavor.
5. Bake uncovered for 1 hour or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
6. Let the meatloaf rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Do not overmix the meat to avoid a dense texture.
Resting the meatloaf after baking helps it slice cleanly and stay juicy.
For a deeper glaze flavor, mix ketchup with a dash of Worcestershire or honey.
