Ingredients
1 lb chicken breast, cubed
8 oz bowtie pasta
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 lemon, zested and juiced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
1 pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter. Sear chicken on medium-high heat until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve ¼ cup pasta water.
4. In the same skillet, add more butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in lemon zest and juice.
5. Add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in parmesan until smooth.
6. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce. Add pasta water as needed to loosen.
7. Return chicken to the pan, stir to coat evenly.
8. Garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes. Serve hot.
