Ingredients
1 lb ground chicken
1 large egg
¼ cup grated onion
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil (for cooking)
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, mix ground chicken, grated onion, egg, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until just combined.
2. Divide mixture into 4–6 equal portions. Shape each into a patty about ¾-inch thick.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
4. Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temp 165°F).
5. Let the patties rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.
Notes
Don’t overmix the chicken mixture—this helps keep the texture tender.
Grating the onion instead of chopping it adds both flavor and moisture.
Avoid pressing the patties down while cooking; this keeps the juices inside.
