Description

Juicy cocktail sausages wrapped in crisp bacon, brushed with a sweet and tangy glaze, then baked to sticky, golden perfection. These pigs in blankets are perfect for parties, game days, or cozy nights in.


Ingredients

20 cocktail sausages

10 slices thin-cut streaky bacon (cut in half)

3 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and place a wire rack on top.

2. Cut each bacon slice in half. Wrap each sausage with a piece of bacon and place seam-side down on the rack.

3. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.

4. Brush each wrapped sausage generously with the glaze. Reserve some for midway through baking.

5. Bake for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway and brushing with the remaining glaze.

6. Let cool for 5 minutes, sprinkle with thyme if using, and serve warm.


Notes

Use thin-cut bacon for the best crisp texture. Thick bacon stays chewy unless pre-cooked.

Glaze the sausages before and midway through baking for a deeply caramelized finish.

To prep ahead, wrap and refrigerate up to 24 hours in advance. Glaze and bake when ready.
