This hot and cheesy Shrimp, Crab & Spinach Dip is a seafood-lover’s dream! It’s made with tender shrimp, rich lump crab meat, fresh spinach, and a blend of creamy cheeses. Perfect for game nights, holiday parties, or anytime you’re craving something indulgent and shareable.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 pound medium shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups fresh spinach
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped (optional)
1/2 cup lump crab meat
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1/8 teaspoon cayenne or red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and curled. Remove from heat and chop into bite-sized pieces.
2. In the same pan, add spinach and cook until wilted, about 2–3 minutes. Transfer to a colander and press out excess moisture.
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic, onion (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
4. Fold in the chopped shrimp, lump crab meat, and drained spinach until well combined.
5. Stir in half of the mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
6. Transfer the mixture into a greased oven-safe baking dish. Smooth the top and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes, until golden and bubbly. For extra browning, broil for 1–2 minutes (watch closely!).
8. Serve hot with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or vegetable dippers.
Notes
Use fresh shrimp and real lump crab meat for the best flavor and texture.
Be sure to squeeze out any excess moisture from the spinach to prevent a watery dip.
For make-ahead ease, prep the dip and refrigerate unbaked for up to 24 hours.
