1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

Optional: powdered sugar, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in the cocoa powder until smooth. Remove from heat.
  3. In a large bowl, beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla until pale and thick.
