Description

These honey garlic ribs are a sticky, savory-sweet sensation. Glazed with a bold, garlicky sauce that caramelizes in the oven, each rib is packed with flavor and fork-tender. Perfect for special dinners, casual gatherings, or weeknight indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

2 racks pork baby back ribs

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 cup honey

1/3 cup soy sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water

Chopped green onions, for garnish

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove membrane from ribs, rinse, and pat dry.
  2. Place ribs on a foil-lined baking tray. Season with salt and pepper. Cover with another piece of foil.
  3. Bake ribs for 2.5 to 3 hours, until fork-tender.
  4. While baking, make the sauce: In a saucepan, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Simmer.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water into a slurry. Stir into the sauce and simmer until thick.
  6. Remove ribs from oven, uncover, and brush generously with sauce.
  7. Broil or bake at 425°F (220°C) for 10-12 minutes until caramelized.
  8. Brush with extra sauce and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
