Description

Sticky, sweet, crispy, and full of flavor—this Honey Garlic Chicken is the ultimate dinner fix. Juicy chicken bites are fried until golden and tossed in a garlicky honey glaze that’s sweet, tangy, and just a little spicy. Perfect over rice or with stir-fried vegetables for a quick, delicious meal.

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup cornstarch

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

Oil for frying

4 garlic cloves, minced

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/3 cup honey

2 tbsp rice vinegar

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Sesame seeds and chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Toss chicken pieces in cornstarch, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  2. Fry: In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Make the sauce: In a small saucepan, combine garlic, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Combine: Add fried chicken to the sauce and toss to coat. Simmer for another minute so the glaze sticks.
  5. Serve: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and parsley. Serve hot over rice or with your favorite sides.
