Description

This Homemade Doritos Pumpkin Shaped Cheese Ball is creamy, zesty, and perfect for fall parties. Shaped like a pumpkin and coated in crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos, it’s as festive as it is delicious. Serve it with crackers or veggies and watch your guests devour it!

Ingredients

Scale

16 oz cream cheese, softened

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 packet ranch seasoning mix

2 green onions, finely chopped

1 small jalapeño, deseeded and finely diced (optional)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 cups crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos

1 bell pepper stem (cleaned and dried)

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, ranch seasoning, green onions, jalapeño (if using), and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well until smooth and fully combined.

2. Transfer the cheese mixture to a sheet of plastic wrap. Shape it into a round ball. For a pumpkin look, tie kitchen string around it lightly to create ridges or shape with your hands. Chill for at least 1 hour.

3. Crush the Doritos in a food processor or plastic bag until finely ground.

4. Roll the chilled cheese ball in crushed Doritos, pressing gently so the crumbs stick well.

5. Place the bell pepper stem on top to resemble a pumpkin stem.

6. Serve with crackers, pretzels, or veggies, or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Make ahead tip: You can prepare the cheese mixture 2-3 days ahead. Just coat with Doritos right before serving.

For best results: Use freshly shredded cheddar—it melts and mixes better than pre-shredded cheese.

Don’t skip chilling: It helps the cheese ball firm up and makes coating it much easier.
