Description

A comforting, budget-friendly dinner that layers seasoned ground beef, tender potatoes, and creamy mushroom soup into one cheesy, oven-baked dish. It’s easy to make, perfect for busy nights, and sure to be a hit with the whole family.


Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced

1 medium onion, diced

2 carrots, diced

2 celery stalks, diced

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp paprika

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, brown ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Drain fat.
  3. Sauté onion, carrots, and celery in the same skillet until slightly softened.
  4. Layer sliced potatoes, beef, vegetables, and soup in the baking dish. Repeat until all are used, ending with potatoes.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese. Cover with foil.
  6. Bake covered for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake for 15-20 minutes more until golden and bubbly.
  7. Let rest for 5-10 minutes, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve.
