Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
½ cup melted butter
1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, Gruyère, or mix)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (thyme, parsley, or chives)
½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and garlic powder.
3. In another bowl, beat the eggs, milk, and melted butter.
4. Combine the wet and dry mixtures, stirring gently until just combined.
5. Fold in the shredded cheese and chopped herbs without overmixing.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
7. Bake for 45–55 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
9. Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
