Description

Golden Crusted Cheesy Cauliflower Steaks are the ultimate oven-roasted veggie side dish or vegetarian main. Thick cauliflower slices are seasoned, roasted until golden, then topped with cheddar and Parmesan for a perfectly crisp, melty cheese crust. It’s a low-effort, high-impact dish that brings flavor, crunch, and comfort to any meal.


Ingredients

1 large head cauliflower

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Remove leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stem so it sits flat. Slice into 3/4–1 inch thick steaks.

3. Place steaks on the sheet and brush both sides with olive oil. Sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

4. Roast for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until tender and golden.

5. Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan on top of each steak.

6. Return to the oven and roast another 8–10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly with a golden crust.

7. Garnish with fresh parsley if using, and serve warm.


Notes

Use a very sharp knife to ensure clean slices without crumbling the cauliflower.

If you want extra crispy edges, broil the steaks for 1–2 minutes at the end.

For a vegan version, use plant-based cheeses that melt and brown well.
