Ingredients

Scale

12 oz spaghetti

1 lb ground beef

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 ½ cups heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

¼ cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Spaghetti: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Season with salt and black pepper. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Garlic: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), stirring until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Make the Parmesan Sauce: Pour in heavy cream, stirring well. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes. Gradually add grated parmesan, stirring until smooth and creamy. If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
  5. Combine Everything: Return cooked beef to the skillet, stirring to coat in sauce. Add drained spaghetti and toss until well combined. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with extra parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
