Description

These homemade Garlic Knots are soft, buttery, and bursting with garlicky flavor. Perfect as a side to pasta, soups, or as a party appetizer, they’re made using pizza dough and brushed with a warm garlic butter sauce. Dip them in marinara or enjoy them on their own — either way, they’ll disappear fast!


Ingredients

1 pound pizza dough

3 tablespoons butter (melted)

3 cloves garlic (minced)

2 tablespoons parsley (chopped)

2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese (optional)

1 teaspoon salt (sea salt or flaky preferred)


Instructions

1. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about ½-inch thick.

2. Slice into 1-inch wide strips using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.

3. Gently tie each strip into a knot and tuck the ends underneath.

4. Place knots on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.

5. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rise for 30 to 45 minutes.

6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

7. Bake knots for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.

8. While baking, melt butter in a saucepan. Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in chopped parsley.

9. Remove knots from the oven and brush immediately with garlic butter.

10. Optionally sprinkle with Parmesan and a pinch of salt. Serve warm.


Notes

For extra soft knots, store them in a sealed container while still slightly warm.

Don’t overbake — they should be golden, not crunchy.

You can make them ahead and refrigerate overnight before baking.
