Garlic Chicken Lo Mein is a fast and flavorful Asian-style noodle dish featuring tender chicken, crisp vegetables, and chewy noodles tossed in a bold garlic-soy sauce. Ingredients
For the Chicken Marinade:
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon cornstarch
For the Stir-Fry Sauce:
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon dark soy sauce (optional)
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Other Ingredients:
10 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup broccoli florets
1/2 cup sliced carrots
1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
1/2 cup bean sprouts (optional)
1/2 cup chopped scallions
1/2 onion, thinly sliced
Sesame seeds and scallions (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Marinate Chicken:
Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Coat chicken and marinate for 15 minutes. - Prepare Sauce:
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, dark soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. - Cook Noodles:
Boil noodles until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water. Toss with sesame oil. - Stir-Fry Chicken:
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok, cook marinated chicken until done, remove and set aside. - Stir-Fry Vegetables:
Add remaining oil. Sauté onion, carrots, peppers, and broccoli for 3–4 minutes. Add sprouts and scallions last. - Combine Ingredients:
Return chicken and noodles to the wok. Add sauce, toss well for 2–3 minutes until heated through and glossy. - Serve:
Garnish with sesame seeds and extra scallions. Serve hot.
