Description

These Flaky Cheesy Roll-Ups are everything you want in a bite-sized appetizer: golden, buttery puff pastry filled with a blend of melty cheddar and mozzarella. They bake up fast and disappear even faster!


Ingredients

2 sheets puff pastry, thawed

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Smooth and cut into rectangles or squares.

3. Sprinkle each with cheddar and mozzarella, leaving a small border.

4. Roll each piece and pinch edges to seal. Place seam-side down.

5. Brush tops with egg wash.

6. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

7. Let cool slightly, then garnish with parsley and serve warm.


Notes

Keep puff pastry cold until rolling to ensure flakiness.

Use freshly shredded cheese for best melt quality.

You can assemble them ahead of time and bake fresh for guests.
