Description
This Easy Layered Christmas Jello is a colorful and festive dessert with three delicious layers—green lime gelatin, a creamy whipped middle, and bright red cherry gelatin. It’s perfect for Christmas gatherings, potlucks, or make-ahead holiday treats!
Ingredients
1 package lime gelatin mix (3 oz)
1 package cherry or strawberry gelatin mix (3 oz)
1 cup boiling water (for each gelatin)
1 cup cold water (for each gelatin)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
8 oz whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
Whipped cream, for garnish (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped pistachios or candied cherries (optional)
Instructions
1. In a bowl, dissolve lime gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved, then mix in 1 cup cold water.
2. Pour the green gelatin into a 9×13-inch glass dish and refrigerate for 1.5 hours or until set.
3. In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Gently fold in whipped topping.
4. Spread the creamy layer evenly over the set green gelatin. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
5. Dissolve cherry gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Stir until dissolved, then add 1 cup cold water. Let cool slightly.
6. Slowly pour red gelatin over the cream layer using a spoon to prevent mixing. Chill for 1.5 hours until set.
7. Slice into squares. Top with whipped cream and garnish with pistachios or cherries if desired. Serve chilled.
Notes
Let each layer set completely before adding the next to avoid bleeding colors.
Use a spoon to pour the top gelatin layer gently to keep the creamy layer intact.
For best presentation, garnish just before serving to keep whipped cream fresh.
