10 lasagna noodles
1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
2 cups ricotta cheese
1 large egg
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 cups marinara sauce (divided)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or basil
Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles in salted water until al dente. Drain and lay flat on parchment paper.
- Brown the ground meat in a skillet. Add garlic and Italian seasoning. Stir in 1.5 cups marinara and simmer.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, egg, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, salt, and chopped herbs.
- Spread cheese mixture and meat sauce on each noodle and roll tightly.
- Coat baking dish with 1/2 cup marinara. Arrange rolls seam-side down.
- Top with remaining marinara and mozzarella.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 more minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or basil and serve.
