Description
These Easy Homemade Garlic Knots are soft, golden, and infused with buttery garlic flavor. Perfect as a side dish, appetizer, or snack, they’re quick to make with pizza dough and come out bakery-quality straight from your oven.
Ingredients
1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade, room temperature)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon coarse salt
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for greasing)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with olive oil.
2. Roll out the dough into a ½ inch thick rectangle. Slice into 1-inch wide strips and tie each into a loose knot.
3. Arrange knots on the baking sheet and let them rest for 10–15 minutes to puff slightly.
4. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.
5. Brush half of the garlic butter over the unbaked knots.
6. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until knots are golden brown.
7. Remove from the oven and immediately brush with the remaining garlic butter.
8. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and coarse salt.
9. Serve warm with marinara or your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Let the dough sit at room temperature before shaping — it rolls and ties more easily.
Don’t overbake — golden brown edges are perfect, but you want the inside to stay fluffy.
Double the garlic butter if you’re a big garlic fan — it’s easy to brush extra on!
