Description

Ingredients

1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

¾ cup Greek yogurt

1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

¼ cup warm water

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or cilantro (optional)


Instructions

1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

2. Add yogurt, olive oil, and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.

3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth.

4. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.

5. Divide the dough into 6 equal balls. Roll each into an oval about 1/4-inch thick.

6. Heat a dry skillet over medium-high heat until hot.

7. Cook each naan for 1–2 minutes per side, until blistered and golden.

8. Melt butter and stir in minced garlic.

9. Brush the hot naan with garlic butter and sprinkle with chopped herbs if using.

10. Serve warm or store for later.


Notes

Make sure your skillet is properly preheated — this helps the naan puff and blister correctly.

Don’t skip resting the dough — it improves softness and elasticity.

For deeper flavor, infuse the garlic in butter over low heat before brushing.
