Description

This Easy Classic Cranberry Sauce is the perfect sweet-tart side dish for your holiday table. Ready in just 15 minutes with only 4 ingredients, it pairs wonderfully with turkey, ham, or even your morning toast. With its vibrant flavor and bold color, it’s a staple you’ll want to make again and again.

Ingredients

Scale

12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup orange juice

1 cup water

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and water. Stir well.

2. Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil.

3. Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The cranberries will pop and the mixture will begin to thicken.

4. Remove from heat and let cool. The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.

5. Serve chilled or at room temperature. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 10 days or freeze for up to 2 months.

Notes

For a spiced twist, add a cinnamon stick or pinch of nutmeg while simmering.

If you like a chunkier texture, remove the sauce from heat sooner.

Don’t worry if the sauce looks thin—it thickens as it cools thanks to natural pectin.
