This Easy Baked Spaghetti is the perfect fusion of creamy, cheesy comfort and rich Italian flavor. With layers of marinara meat sauce, velvety cream cheese, and golden bubbly mozzarella, it’s a weeknight winner the whole family will request again and again.
Ingredients
1 pound spaghetti
1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
3 cups marinara sauce
8 ounces cream cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
3. In a skillet, brown ground beef or sausage over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
4. Add marinara sauce and Italian seasoning to the meat. Simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Stir in cream cheese until fully melted and smooth.
6. Layer half of the spaghetti in the baking dish, then spread half the sauce mixture. Sprinkle with half the mozzarella and Parmesan.
7. Repeat the layers: remaining spaghetti, sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
8. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
9. Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute meat with mushrooms or lentils.
Make sure spaghetti is cooked al dente to avoid overbaking.
Let it sit for a few minutes before serving—it sets and slices better that way.
