Description
This Sausage Gravy Crescent Roll Breakfast Pizza is a hearty, comforting breakfast with a golden crescent crust, creamy sausage gravy, and melted cheddar cheese. Perfect for weekend brunches or easy weekday meals, it’s rich, satisfying, and irresistibly savory.
Ingredients
1 package crescent roll dough (8 oz)
1 pound ground breakfast sausage
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out crescent dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and pinch seams if necessary.
2. Bake the crust for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden but not fully baked.
3. In a skillet, cook ground sausage over medium heat, breaking into crumbles until browned. Remove 1/3 of the sausage and set aside.
4. Add flour to remaining sausage in the skillet and stir to coat. Slowly whisk in milk and cook, stirring until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Spread sausage gravy over the partially baked crust. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and top with reserved sausage.
6. Bake an additional 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
7. Garnish with parsley if desired, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
Use crescent dough sheets if available to avoid sealing seams.
Don’t skip the par-bake—it prevents soggy crust.
Gravy can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight for quicker prep.
