Description

These crispy parmesan roasted green beans are the ultimate quick and delicious side dish. Coated in garlic, olive oil, parmesan cheese, and breadcrumbs, they roast to golden perfection in under 20 minutes. Ideal for weeknights or special dinners!


Ingredients

1 pound green beans

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese

1/3 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes or 1 teaspoon lemon zest


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment or lightly grease it.

2. Wash and dry green beans, then trim off the ends.

3. Toss green beans in olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.

4. Add parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs; toss to evenly coat.

5. Spread beans in a single layer on the baking sheet.

6. Roast for 15–20 minutes, tossing halfway through, until crisp and golden.

7. Serve hot with extra parmesan or a sprinkle of lemon zest if desired.


Notes

Don’t overcrowd the pan—spread beans in a single layer for max crispiness.

For keto: replace breadcrumbs with crushed pork rinds or skip entirely and double the cheese.

Use freshly grated parmesan for better melting and flavor.
