Description

Creamy Velveeta Bowtie Pasta with Italian Beef Marinara is a comforting, cheesy skillet meal loaded with savory Italian beef, tangy marinara, and melty Velveeta cheese. It’s quick to make, kid-friendly, and bakes beautifully with a golden mozzarella topping.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups bowtie pasta (uncooked)

1 pound ground Italian sausage or ground beef

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 small yellow onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup Velveeta cheese, cubed

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until fragrant and soft.

3. Add the ground sausage or beef to the skillet. Break it up with a spatula and cook until browned and fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper.

4. Pour in crushed tomatoes and stir in Italian seasoning. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. Stir in Velveeta cubes until melted and fully incorporated, creating a creamy meat sauce.

6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and fold it into the sauce until well combined.

7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the top. Bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

8. Serve warm with optional parsley or Parmesan on top.

Notes

Use fire-roasted crushed tomatoes for a smokier depth of flavor.

Substitute Velveeta with cream cheese and cheddar blend if desired.

Add red pepper flakes or hot Italian sausage for a spicier version.
