Ingredients

2 cups shredded cooked chicken

3 cups broccoli florets (fresh or thawed if frozen)

4 ounces cream cheese

1 cup heavy cream

1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

Optional: ¼ teaspoon paprika or crushed red pepper flakes


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.

2. Prepare the broccoli: if frozen, thaw and drain well. Chop large florets.

3. In a saucepan, melt cream cheese and heavy cream over medium heat. Stir until smooth.

4. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the sauce. Adjust to taste.

5. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken and broccoli.

6. Pour the cheese sauce over the chicken and broccoli. Mix until evenly coated.

7. Transfer the mixture to the prepared casserole dish and spread evenly.

8. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.

9. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.

10. Optional: Broil for 2–3 minutes for a crispy cheese topping.

11. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.


Notes

Be sure to drain any extra moisture from broccoli to prevent a watery casserole.

You can substitute other cheeses like mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or Gouda.

Make it spicy with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or a dash of cayenne.
