Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken & Linguine in Alfredo Sauce is a rich, comforting dinner dish that combines golden seared chicken breasts with velvety Alfredo sauce and perfectly cooked linguine. A restaurant-worthy meal made easily at home, this recipe is packed with flavor and perfect for any evening that calls for something indulgent.

Ingredients

Scale

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

8 oz linguine pasta

3 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup heavy cream

3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1/2 cup reserved pasta water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 5–7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook linguine in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water. Drain pasta.
  4. In same skillet, add remaining 1 tablespoon butter. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in cream. Simmer 3–4 minutes to thicken slightly.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Add reserved pasta water if sauce is too thick. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Slice chicken. Toss linguine with sauce. Plate with chicken on top and garnish with parsley.
