Description

This Creamy Cottage Cheese Dessert is a delightful blend of smooth, whipped ingredients layered over a soft cake or biscuit base. It’s light, indulgent, and surprisingly easy to prepare. A perfect make-ahead dessert for entertaining or just treating yourself to something extra special.


Ingredients

2 cups full-fat small curd cottage cheese

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp powdered gelatin (or 1 tbsp agar agar)

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 1/2 cups crushed vanilla cake or biscuits

Optional: 1/3 cup fruit jam or swirl of choice


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, bloom gelatin or agar agar in warm water (about 3 tbsp) for 5–10 minutes.
  2. Blend cottage cheese in a food processor or blender until completely smooth.
  3. Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  4. In a large bowl, fold the blended cottage cheese into the whipped cream.
  5. Add sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar. Mix gently.
  6. Stir in the dissolved gelatin until fully incorporated.
  7. Press your crushed cake or biscuit base into the bottom of a springform pan.
  8. Pour the creamy mixture over the base. Add optional jam swirls.
  9. Smooth the top and refrigerate for 4+ hours or overnight.
  10. Slice, serve chilled, and garnish as desired.
